Account Payable Specialist - Temporary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment obligations of our organization. • Key Responsibilities :
• Review, code, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Manage vendor payment cycles, including issuing checks and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analyses of accounts as required.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and financial audits.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely payment processing.
• Qualifications and Skills :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
