Our client, a global automotive supplier, has just created a NEW position - Maintenance Engineer for their 24 / 7, non-union manufacturing facility located within commuting distance of Lexington, KY. This role is primarily responsible for reliability of manufacturing equipment which includes establishing a predictive maintenance program, sourcing required parts, training maintenance and engineering personnel and adhering to all safety protocols. This is a great opportunity to make this role your own and create value in the Engineering department. This position will generally work Monday - Friday 8 : 00a - 5 : 00p with flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in diagnosing particularly complex issues with equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Establish predictive maintenance program
  • Manage repair schedules to minimize downtime and disruption
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance operational efficiency
  • Document maintenance and repair activities for future reference and compliance
  • Manage related projects
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in maintenance engineering
  • Provide training to staff on equipment maintenance protocols

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a related field in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in predictive maintenance techniques
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems; electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

  • Salary Range $90,000 - $110,000
