GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Cad Technician II is responsible for assisting lead drafter with the modeling and detailing of the project model and for preparation of erection / production drawings. May assume Lead Drafter responsibilities on small to mid-sized projects. This position supports the department in maintaining internal scheduling for project requirements and deadlines.
Salary range $26.00-$30.00 an hour. Based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Model erection drawings from architectural / structural drawings and other trade documents (Steel, Mechanical, etc.)Works closely with the internal D & E team to ensure model and drawings are complete and accurate containing all the information needed to properly assemble, cast, and erect the productCreate / revise individual pour sheets for Production to produce each piece neededCommunicate effectively with internal departments along with General Contractors, Architects, Engineers to facilitate a successful project outcome and avoid any project delays.Prepare material requisition for production and erection hardware, including plate / assembly drawings.Attends job meetings or site / plant visits if necessaryMaintain Project Flow, following target dates as established by the D&E Team.Utilizes best practice standards to determine efficiency in how the project should be produced and completed.Maintaining Project data flow from the Revit Model to Concrete VisionAssist in mentoring other Cad TechsCompletes special projects as requested and performs other duties as assignedCAD Technician II will directly report to their respective Drafting Manager. Assignments will be issued by their Drafting ManagerEDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED2-4 year drafting degree preferred1 to 3 years of previous work experience in a related field.Interpersonal communication skills to work in a team setting, as well as in 1-on-1 environmentAbility to solve problems quickly and efficientlyGeneral math skills and ability to read blueprints and plansAbility to visualize how materials are put togetherCapability to meet deadlines and follow aggressive project schedulesMotivation and self-drive required to complete a taskKnowledge of products the company producesUnderstanding and acceptance to changes that are implemented to become best in classAbility to use Revit along with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and other computer software programsOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and able to work on more than one project at onceProficiency in reading and understanding construction documents and erection drawingsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
