Staff Psychologist-Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program

The Department of Veterans Affairs Alexandria VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist- Behavioral health Interdisciplinary program (40 hours / week; 80 hours / pay period) for the Alexandria VA Health Care System. Staff Psychologist provides direct patient care, teaching / training services, and program evaluation / outcomes services. They effectively communicate with a wide range of other mental health providers, healthcare staff and facility leadership. The psychologist utilizes existing empirically supported assessment, evidence-based intervention, and consultation with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions.4

Work Schedule :    Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm; subject to change based on the need of the agency.

Qualifications :

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (
• will consider non-citizen candidates
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
• Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
• Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
• Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological treatments to the full range of patient populations.
• Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.
• Active Board Certification (or considered Board Certification eligible) in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP / ABCN) or American Board of Neuropsychology (ABN).(Preferred)
• Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans.
