ML Campbell Outside Sales Representative(s) are responsible for maintaining existing and establishing new customers in each territory, as well as selling ML Campbell Paints and Stain products to the cabinet and millwork industry and or the construction and architecture industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
- Present, promote and sell products / services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Adjust content of sales presentation by studying new paint and stain trade factor
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers and creating presentations
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Job Requirements and Skill
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or equivalent related sales experience1-3 yrs. in the paint and stain industry or related sales experienceFluent in the terms and vocabulary used in the paint and stain industryAbility to work directly with customers and identify the decision maker to drive salesBusiness acumen to understand priorities, think creatively and close salesGood verbal communications and public speaking skillsStrong writing ability, analytical and persuasive skills, and ability to multi-task effectivelyAbility to execute time-sensitive and critical taskExcellent planning, organization, and territory management skillsMust have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicleSalary range : $ 48,500-55,000 plus commission !
