We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction plumbing, and related mechanical skills. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of hand tools and power tools. A strong background in construction site experience, welding, HVAC, and remodeling is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise and attention to detail.
- Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters (conventional and tankless) and boilers in both commercial and residential settings
- Manage and train a plumbing apprentice assigned to work under your supervision
- Manage all daily installations assigned to you and your apprentice
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques for installation and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues within plumbing systems and HVAC units
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all phases of work
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Plumber certification or license required, with preference given to applicants holding both ID and WA cards
- Proven experience installing and servicing water heaters and boiler components
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding, and carpentry skills
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance
- Valid driver’s license and clean (insurable) driving record (no major violations in prior 3 years)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively
