Interim Privacy Counsel

A company is looking for an Interim Privacy Counsel and Data Protection Officer (contract).

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee the company's data protection strategy and ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations

Act as the primary contact for data subjects and manage data subject access requests

Develop and implement data privacy policies, conduct assessments, and provide guidance on data privacy matters

Required Qualifications :

7+ years of experience in privacy law or data protection

Strong knowledge of data protection laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA

Experience in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

Ability to develop and deliver training programs on data privacy

Experience in managing relationships with data protection authorities
