Faith Community Health Network is establishing the Faith Community Clinic, a charitable healthcare initiative dedicated to providing primary and urgent care to underserved populations. The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, oversee quality of care, and guide the medical and educational mission of the clinic. This position combines direct patient care with administrative oversight and supervision of staff, volunteers, and students.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care (approximately 70% of time) in a primary and urgent care setting.
- Develop and oversee clinical protocols and ensure quality of care standards are met.
- Supervise and mentor volunteer clinicians, including physicians, NPs, PAs, and students.
- Proctor and oversee medical students (UK College of Medicine – NKY) and PA students (Mount St. Joseph University).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, CHFS).
- Review charts, labs, and diagnostics; sign off on care plans as needed.
- Lead quality improvement, peer review, and risk management processes.
- Serve as primary liaison to CHFS, HRSA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to ensure efficient, patient-centered operations.
- Represent the clinic in community, donor, and partner meetings.
Qualifications
MD or DO licensed to practice in Kentucky, in good standing.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in primary care or community health required.Previous leadership, teaching, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.Commitment to serving underserved populations and advancing health equity.Excellent communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.Schedule & Compensation
Full-time position, Monday through Thursday, 9 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (with possible Friday expansion).Approximately 70% patient care and 30% administrative / leadership duties.Annual salary range : $210,000 – $240,000, depending on experience.Benefits include Health, Life, Disability, Retirement, PTO, and malpractice coverage.Projected Hire / Start Date : Early to mid-February 2026, with the Faith Community Clinic expected to open in late March 2026.
