Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Responsible for assisting and leading different aspects of procurement, pricing, availability, inventory management, and control of all pharmacy group purchases. Researches backorders and locates substitute products as necessary. Establish reports for reviewing procurement of pharmaceuticals. Researches best possible source of procurement with the goal of achieving maximum contract compliance and works with Contract Analysts to obtain crossreferencing information. Collects, analyzes, and presents data relating to group purchasing to VP. Evaluates and orders narcotics based on facility process for ordering and in conjunction with DEA requirements.

This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.

Job Requirements

Education & License / Certification Requirements :

• High School Diploma / G.E.D
• Bachelor Degree in Finance or accounting preferred
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in Colorado
