Hospice Satilla, a community-based non-profit, began in Waycross, GA in 1986 and started accepting patients in 1987. A small volunteer steering committee with a vision to bring comfort and dignity to individuals in the final stage of life's journey made the concept of hospice care in Waycross a reality. We are the experts when it comes to helping patients living with advanced illnesses such as Alzheimer's / Dementia, cancer, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

Position Summary
The Hospice Aide provides compassionate, hands-on personal care to terminally ill patients in various settings. The aide supports patient comfort, dignity, and safety while adhering to the established plan of care. The role involves direct care tasks, assisting with mobility, and supporting family caregivers, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and across different care sites as needed.
