Production Control Specialist
The Operational Readiness organization within the Weapons Production Directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory (TRIAD) is looking for an exceptional part-time Production Control Specialist to join the Supply Chain Management Group (SCL-2). In this role, you will effectively and compliantly manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Laundry at TA-55, RLUOB, RLW, TWF, RANT / WCRRF and CMR for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). You will utilize multiple inventory management systems to maintain and verify inventory levels as well as manage centralized distribution and assignment of PPE lockers. You will ensure change rooms are decluttered, organized, and stocked daily. Comply with institution-controlled storage procedures, P330-11, 12 and 13. Responsible for locating, pulling and staging material for programmatic related activities. This candidate will maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean receiving area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations; work cohesively in a team environment; provide high level of attention to detail; and exhibit strong organizational skills.
Due to staffing needs these part-time positions will support weekend hours (Friday through Sunday) ranging from 5 : 00 pm to 3 : 30am; typically, 2 shifts of 10 hours per day.

Minimum Job Requirements :
Material Management : Demonstrated ability to manage material in accordance with applicable quality assurance and industry standards.
Customer Service : Demonstrated experience and excellence in interacting with customers in a customer service-related setting. Seeking candidates with a strong background in customer service who can communicate effectively, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor when working with our customer base and team members. Candidates should have proven customer service experience, demonstrating the ability to manage inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and deliver consistent high-quality service.
Business Systems : Demonstrated computer skills and experience with Inventory Control, Material Tracking systems, and proficient in various software suites, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access.
Communication : Demonstrated experience and excellence in interacting and communicating both written and orally with customers in a customer service-related setting. Ability to proactively work to assist others in achieving the organizations objectives. Ability to communicate findings and make recommendations.
Organizational Skills : Possess high attention to detail including strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, observation skills and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to multi-task and adjust to the workings of a dynamic environment.
Work Environment : Ability to work cohesively in a team environment that encourages collaboration with fellow team members to contribute to the efficiency of the facility.

Education and Years of Relevant Experience : Position requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Special Skills :
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; familiar with logistics and production planning concepts. Experience managing material in a nuclear environment with the ability to learn basic safety requirements needed to work within a Radiological Facility. Awareness and willingness to learn supply chain management practices. Candidate must be organized, focused, motivated and reliable.
Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
