Certified Charge Audit Specialist

A company is looking for a Charge Audit Specialist in the Ambulatory Revenue Cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Perform charge capture audits and compare medical record documentation against itemized bills

Identify and resolve charging, coding, or clinical documentation issues in collaboration with ancillary departments

Initiate performance improvement efforts to enhance charge capture and promote revenue cycle integrity

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 years of experience in Medical Coding

Active coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required within 1 year of hire

3-4 years of charge audit or finance-related experience preferred
