About the Role :

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our banking operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with various departments to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior accounting staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant contributes to the organization's financial health and supports its long-term growth objectives.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the banking sector.
  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
  • Skills :

    The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, which are essential for preparing accurate financial statements. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is utilized daily to analyze data and generate reports that inform management decisions.
