Summary Of Position
Keene State College invites applications for a faculty position in the Construction Management Program beginning August 2024. Keene State Colleges Construction Management Program part of the Department of Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences ( SOHAS ) combines the expertise of the SOHAS Business Management and Architecture programs. Launched in Fall 2020 it quickly became the colleges fastest-growing program expanding from 3 students in 2020 to nearly 90 today. The program focuses on the development of professional knowledge critical thinking and problem solving as these elements relate to Keene State Colleges college wide learning outcomes . This role involves teaching undergraduate and potential graduate courses in various formats including classroom laboratory and online. Key responsibilities include curriculum development laboratory management student advisement and college service. Candidates are expected to engage in scholarly activities maintain professional development and participate in service activities for the program department and college. Candidates should have a commitment to mentoring a diverse student body including first-generation college students. Promoting critical thinking problem solving and civic engagement is essential. Preference may be given to candidates who possess board certified designations and to those that maintain their status as an engineer.
