Oracle Database Administrator

Role Summary : Provides enterprise-level Oracle database administration and engineering support for the GPO's standalone and clustered Oracle environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle 19c and legacy 12c / 11g databases in Windows Server and Azure VMs.
• Monitor performance, tune SQL queries, and optimize storage and memory utilization.
• Manage database backups, recovery, and patching using Oracle RMAN and Data Pump.
• Implement and monitor Oracle Data Guard or equivalent high-availability solutions.
• Provide support for Oracle components within GBIS and integrated enterprise systems.
• Coordinate with GPO Infrastructure and Security teams for vulnerability remediation and audits.
• Maintain schema design documentation, user privileges, and change control records.

Qualifications

• Experience : 8 + years as an Oracle DBA in production and development environments.
• Technical Proficiency : Oracle 19c, PL / SQL, RMAN, OEM, Data Guard, RAC (desired).
• Certifications (preferred) : Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
• Clearance : Public Trust
