Senior Software Engineer (.Net)
You will design and implement backend services for our healthcare application platform with primary focus on integrating AI / ML capabilities into production systems. This role involves architecting RESTful APIs and microservices that process sensitive patient health data, requiring exceptional attention to performance optimization and scalability. You'll spend approximately 60% of your time on AI / NLP integration projects including implementing Azure Cognitive Services, building data pipelines for model consumption, and creating APIs that expose AI capabilities to frontend applications. The remaining 40% will focus on architecture modernization efforts including refactoring legacy systems, optimizing database queries and stored procedures, and establishing patterns for cloud-native application design. You will work closely with data scientists and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration of AI features while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data security standards. This position requires deep technical expertise in both traditional enterprise backend development and emerging AI / ML integration patterns. You'll need to navigate ambiguous requirements, communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, and proactively surface risks and blockers.
Required :
7+ years of backend software development experience in enterprise environments
Expert-level C# with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core for building production APIs and services
Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful Web APIs and microservices architectures
Solid expertise with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and T-SQL including query optimization and performance tuning
Proven experience integrating AI / ML services into production applications (Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI, or similar platforms)
Experience with Azure AD B2C for authentication and authorization
D eep understanding of SQL best practices, indexing strategies, and performance optimization for healthcare data volumes
Azure cloud services experience (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, or similar)
Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and evolving project scope
Proactive problem-solver who identifies and communicates blockers before they become critical issues
Collaborative mindset with ability to bring innovative solutions and architectural ideas to the team
Preferred :
Healthcare data standards knowledge (HL7, FHIR)
Experience with healthcare applications and PHI / HIPAA compliance requirements
AI / ML model deployment and monitoring experience
Azure DevOps CI / CD pipeline experience
Microservices orchestration and event-driven architecture patterns
