Must-Have : Previous charge experience preferred. Patient ratio experience of 5 patients preferred. Charting system experience preferred. Description : The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient and family experience through critical thinking and effective communication. Utilizes nursing judgment, knowledge, and skills to provide indirect and direct care. Cares for patients ranging in age from infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adults. Employs the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Aims to meet physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families. Responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and directing activities of ancillary staff. Collaborates with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services to deliver comprehensive nursing care. Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care from admission through discharge. Coordinates care and manages the patient experience in a rehabilitation setting. Ensures adherence to patient safety goals and core measures. Conducts patient education and teaching on various health topics. Implements safety protocols, including fall risk assessments and infection prevention measures.
