Job Summary :
mOrganic™ Holdings, LLC. is seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) to lead our comprehensive science strategy across our innovative portfolio of sustainable, nutrient-rich products. The CSO will be instrumental in shaping the science narrative for mOrganic™ Holdings, LLC. and its subsidiaries, most notably driving the "Science" story for our "Supply Side" narrative of our pioneering 3-Tree Agroforestry System.
mOrganic™ Holdings, LLC operates at the vital intersection of capital markets and sustainability, dedicated to scaling BeeGenerative agribusiness practices. We empower long-term investors through our mOrganic 3-Tree Agroforestry System —an impact investment vehicle that integrates superfoods, aquaponics, and timber to deliver meaningful ecological and financial returns. This executive will be responsible for building and fostering community engagement, and attracting strategic investment by effectively communicating our unique sustainability value proposition : HyperLocal, Nutrient-Rich, Fresh, and Incredible Tasting Food for Our Community, cultivated with a BeeGenerative approach and generating high-integrity, nature-based carbon credits.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic direction of all agricultural and scientific marketing at mOrganic™ Holdings, LLC and The Ola Pono Estate. This individual will be instrumental in realizing our vision : to forge a groundbreaking destination where the timeless soul of Hawaiian heritage embraces the pioneering spirit of agricultural innovation. The CSO will ensure the harmonious integration of our "built" and "natural" environments, driving sustainable food production, fostering economic viability, and cultivating a profound connection between land, table, and community, all guided by the principle of malama 'aina (to care for the land).
Role Summary
The Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) is a key executive leadership position responsible for defining, protecting, and monetizing the high-integrity environmental assets generated by the mOrganic 3-Tree Agroforestry System and the BeeGenerative Soil System. The CSO will serve as the company's leading subject matter expert on all carbon-related matters, driving our comprehensive Carbon Credit Plan from scientific calculation and third-party auditing to high-level market negotiation and public representation. This is a high-profile role requiring technical proficiency, exceptional negotiation skills, and compelling public-facing communication. This role demands a visionary leader with deep expertise in sustainable agriculture marketing, a strong business acumen, exceptional team leadership skills, and a commitment to integrating persuasive story-telling about advanced AgTech, conservation, and immersive hospitality experiences.
Key Responsibilities
I. Technical Leadership and Scientific Stewardship
- Carbon Credit Plan Ownership : Provide visionary stewardship and oversight for the entire mOrganic Carbon Credit Plan, ensuring it meets the highest global standards for voluntary carbon markets (VCM).
- Sequestration Management : Oversee and manage the accurate, auditable calculation of carbon sequestration across all farms within the mOrganic 3-Tree Agroforestry and BeeGenerative systems. This includes :
- Defining and maintaining detailed protocols for data collection.
- Managing and interpreting advanced soil sample analysis, including carbon stock verification.
- Tracking and correlating water quality metrics with sequestration performance.
- Accounting for variables related to specific tree varieties and agroforestry biomass accumulation.
- Audit and Verification Management : Lead the selection, management, and collaboration with all third-party auditors, consultants, and vendors required to define, design, develop, and deliver verified carbon credits (VCCs). Ensure absolute compliance and technical rigor in all verification and validation processes.
- System Integrity : Continuously research and integrate best practices and emerging scientific consensus to reinforce the company's position as a provider of high-integrity, nature-based credits.
II. Commercial & Market Development
Corporate Relationship Building : Develop and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with global corporations and financial institutions that are prospective buyers of carbon credits.Pitch and Presentation : Serve as the primary presenter and spokesperson for the mOrganic Carbon Credit offering, articulating the scientific integrity and ecological value—the "mOrganic difference"—to potential buyers and partners globally.VERPA Negotiation : Lead the negotiation and execution of high-value Carbon Credit Purchase Agreements (VCRPAs / VERPAs). Responsibilities include :Negotiating credit pricing to maximize value based on verified co-benefits.Establishing clear timing and delivery schedules for carbon credit tranches.Structuring and securing payment and collection terms.III. Public Leadership & Advocacy
High-Profile Representation : Act as the primary external face and voice of mOrganic Holdings, LLC, representing the company at industry conferences, investment forums, and regulatory discussions.Media and Public Speaking : Engage proactively with news media, participate in high-level speaking engagements, and author white papers to establish mOrganic as a thought leader in regenerative finance and carbon sequestration science.Advocacy : Advocate for policies and standards that recognize and reward the enhanced co-benefits (biodiversity, water retention, social impact) generated by high-integrity agroforestry systems like mOrganic's.Qualifications
Education : Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) in Environmental Science, Agronomy, Carbon Markets, Sustainable Finance, or a related technical field.Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sustainability, carbon project development, or environmental markets, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive capacity.Technical Expertise : Deep, verifiable expertise in carbon accounting, soil carbon sequestration methodologies (e.g., VCS, Gold Standard), and the auditing / verification process. Must be technically proficient to discuss soil sampling, remote sensing, and ecological metrics.Commercial Acumen : Proven track record in complex contract negotiation (ideally involving environmental credits, commodity sales, or high-value B2B agreements) and successful relationship management with corporate clients.Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience in high-stakes public speaking, media interviews, and presenting complex technical information to non-technical executive audiences.Travel : Ability to travel significantly (up to 40%) for site visits, investor meetings, and speaking engagements globally.Key Competencies
