The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to speech and language disorders. You will provide functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Based on your comprehensive assessment, you'll develop a tailored treatment plan, implement interventions aimed at enhancing the patient's overall well-being, and monitor their progress.
Deliver services within the defined scope of practice according to state laws, following the plan of care in conjunction with the healthcare team.Evaluate patient functionality by applying diagnostics and prognostics tests. Collaborate with the physician to create effective therapy plans.Guide patients in expressing their thoughts effectively, ensuring your approach adheres to accepted standards of practice.Document and communicate the patient's progress and any changes in their condition to the supervising nurse and / or physician.Educate patients, their families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members on aspects of speech therapy to empower their participation in the treatment process.License Requirements
Must hold a valid Speech Therapy license in the state.Current CPR certification required.A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are necessary, along with access to reliable transportation.
