ER RN Job Details – Wisconsin Travel Nursing Assignment

Location : Burlington, WI 53105 (Southeastern Wisconsin healthcare jobs)

Facility : 123-bed Emergency Department, Trauma Level III

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 22 / 2025, End : 3 / 21 / 2026)

Shifts : 12-hour evening shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2020 - $2070

Weekend Rotation : Every 3rd weekend

Holiday Expectations : Every other holiday

Emergency Department RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (ER nurse jobs preferred)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact state

Required certifications : ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS

Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

Pediatric nursing experience preferred (1% pediatric population)

Covid-19 vaccination required

ER RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive assessments and triage of emergency patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

Deliver immediate, life-saving interventions including medication administration, IV therapy, and advanced cardiac / trauma care

Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)

Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families during emergencies

Utilize advanced ER nursing skills : triage, RSI / intubation assistance, procedural sedation, restraints, mass transfusion, stroke / neuro alert, trauma activations, cardiac / STEMI care
