Physician - Family Practice

Marana Health is seeking a Physician - Family Practice to join our integrated team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, Arizona. Provides clinical leadership and over-site to the professional support staff. As a Physician, provides health care services to patients. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 10 sites in the Greater Tucson area. Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

The following qualifications are required :

• Board Certification / Recertification (preferably) or Board Eligible in Specialty, Internal Medicine, Family Practice.
• Completion and maintenance of annual CME requirements for licensure (CME should be relevant to provider scope of medicine).
• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state.
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing with accepted healthcare plans
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Duties and Responsibilities :

Serves as a member of the medical staff team, communicating on a regular basis with the Medical Director, reporting on medical issues, and serving as a consultant to the senior managers.

Provides supervision and leadership for the medical support staff and clinical operations.

Develops, implements, and evaluates adherence to written clinic policies, protocols and procedures concerning clinic operations, staffing patterns and coverage, case management systems, and risk management procedures (see quality improvement below).

Helps develop, implement and review adherence to a quality improvement program that assesses the following items : continuous quality improvement (clinical and service indicators), utilization management, standard practice guidelines, peer review, incident reporting, provider satisfaction, patient satisfaction, patient grievances, policy and procedures, nurse practitioner / physician assistant protocols, credentialing, internal audits, and patient education.
