Founded in 2017, Social Contract is a women and minority-owned social and collective impact consulting firm based in Wilmington, Delaware, serving clients domestically and internationally. Social Contract partners with government, nonprofits, philanthropies, community leaders, and others to solve complex social problems. Social Contract’s consultants carry expertise in complex areas, including but not limited to community violence intervention, trauma-informed services and care, workforce development, affordable housing, educational policy and programming, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA).
Salary Range : $85k - $120k
Position Overview
As a Senior Consultant with Social Contract, you will spearhead and oversee teams working on intricate social and collective impact ventures for a diverse clientele. Reporting to a Director, you'll manage a portfolio of projects to ensure optimal outcomes for our clients and the communities we serve. Your responsibilities will span project strategy development, scoping, management, facilitation, and additional project support as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support building, implementing, and improving the “Social Contract Way” of solving complex social problems through the design, testing, implementation and measurement of innovative product and service models.
- Support the design and iteration of the Social Contract research agenda.
- Lead and guide project teams with humility, accountability, and respect.
- Provide performance feedback and coaching based on team members' key performance indicators.
- Develop and oversee detailed project plans to monitor progress, document activities, milestones, and manage scope, schedule, and costs adjustments.
- Proactively address challenges, advocating for realistic solutions and required resources to maximize project impact.
- Monitor project performance to achieve short- and long-term goals successfully.
- Ensure timely, within scope, and budget delivery of all projects.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Interface regularly with external partners and clients to ensure coordination and communication of project objectives.
- Conduct research to contribute to continued improvement and innovation across the company, as per the organizational research agenda.
- Support internal organizational development goals and projects as assigned.
General Requirements
To excel in the Senior Consultant role, the applicant should have previous experience in consulting or equivalent work history and be an insightful and creative leader who can manage competing priorities and diverse perspectives, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and quickly acclimate and guide strategic efforts. In addition, the applicant will be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate strong initiative. Specifically, the applicant should have the following qualities and experience :
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in quickly adapting to technical tools, including various PC applications (Clockify, Basecamp, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, HubSpot, etc.)Seasoned, high-quality virtual and in-person facilitation skills, including facilitation of educational, training, and awareness-based programmingExperience as a lead facilitator and co-facilitatorExcellent communication and conflict-resolution skillsDemonstrated ability to build trust and constructively work through difficult conversations effectivelyExcellent written communication skillsProject management and leadership experienceExceptional analytical skillsAble to work between 9 : 00 am and 5 : 00 pm ESTMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesOur Values are yours too
