Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a REMOTE Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce Marketing Cloud job for our direct client in the hospitality and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior engineer with a proven track record of implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and integrating it into large enterprise solutions. This engineer will serve as a marketing subject matter expert, contributing to technical design, development, and testing, while collaborating with various partners and service providers. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for thriving in a highly matrixed environment alongside the required Salesforce Marketing and Service Cloud technical expertise. The candidate should be flexible and must be an engaging team player.

Requirements

  • Leverage Salesforce Service and Marketing Cloud expertise to act as a technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer
  • Must not be afraid to ask questions or adverse to being asked questions; willing to share experiences and explain alternative solutions
  • Deliver technical solutions with a focus on security, authentication, scalability, and performance
  • Ability to work independently or on a team
  • Serve as lead Salesforce developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards, and coaching and mentoring team members
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team environment
  • Ability to work in an Enterprise Agile / Transitioning development environment
  • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans
  • Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into solutions

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience and / or certification
  • 6+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports / dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience with consuming web services
  • 1-2+ years of experience with Lightning framework (Aura, LWC)

    • Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and HTML / CSS.
  • Experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and / or Ajax
  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other applications using Connected Apps and APIs
  • Experience with Integrating Marketing Cloud with additional SF instances
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other)
  • Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger framework
  • Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Java and Apex)

    • Other Qualifications

  • An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem-solving and iterative development
  • Salesforce developer / architect / admin certifications, including Salesforce marketing certifications (Email Specialist, Administrator, Developer, Consultant) are pluses
  • Experience in the development of hotel property applications
  • Leadership experience in a sourced environment
