Certification and License Requirements :

Montana Registered Nurse Licensure (Active)\nAmerican Heart Association BLS Certification (Current)\nAmerican Heart Association ACLS Certification (Current)\nNational Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (Current)\nAmerican Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course Certification (Current)\n\n
What You Bring : \n \n
Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.\nCurrent Montana RN license in good standing.\nAbility to handle high-stress situations with patience, professionalism, and sound judgment.\nStrong assessment skills and the ability to analyze complex patient data to determine appropriate interventions.\nExcellent communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and patient education.\nFlexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, and to adapt to changing patient census needs.\nDemonstrated competence in emergency procedures and familiarity with stroke and trauma protocols.\nCommitment to continuing education and professional development, including completing required additional training on time.\nPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform all essential job functions safely.\n\n
Preferred Education & Experience :
\n \n
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, with additional specialized training or certifications in emergency or critical care nursing.\nExperience working in a rural or scenic healthcare environment is a plus.\nPrior exposure to trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergency protocols.\n\n

This position requires consistent attendance and willingness to work beyond standard hours as needed, including possible on-call shifts.\nMust live at least 90 miles from Big Sky Medical Center to qualify.\nThe facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract based on patient census or other operational needs.\n\n
