Occupational Therapist - Long Term Substitute

The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMUUSD) is seeking an energetic Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with middle and high school students. This long-term substitute position runs from March 2026 through June 2026 and is scheduled for 16 hours per week (equivalent of 2 days). The successful candidate will complete evaluations and provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students. The candidate must enjoy collaborating with staff and families, and assist with professional development for teachers and staff to further their abilities to meet student needs.

A successful candidate will demonstrate :

• A wide range of experience and depth of knowledge in occupational therapy theory and practice as it relates to children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of diagnoses.
• Integration of clinical theory and practice that results in evaluation, treatment, and consultation that is innovative, inclusive, and educationally relevant.
• Knowledge of Special Education state and federal guidelines, regulations, and laws.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using a variety of methods, including assessments, observations, and interviews.
• Create reports that detail students' occupational profiles, strengths, and needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other District professionals to ensure a cohesive plan.
• Communicate effectively with student, their families, and District staff.
• Adapt student environments to support their needs.
