Hello! We are seeking afterschool childcare for our 4.5-year-old son starting in September 2025 through the end of the school year in mid-June 2026. Preferred schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 : 30pm - 4 : 30pm. Duties include : - 1 : 30pm - 1 : 45pm pick up at school. - Spending time at a local playground (weather permitting) or the library, science museum, etc. - 4 : 15pm - 4 : 30pm drop off at our home. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who is already in the Boston area this summer and can provide occasional babysitting so that our son becomes comfortable with you before the school year begins! Required qualifications : - Previous experience providing care to children under the age of 5. - Two to three excellent references from previous families for whom you have worked. - Certification in Basic Life Support. - Able to reliably transport to and from Somerville (regardless of the mode of transportation). Preferred qualifications : - Undergraduate or graduate student in education, child psychology, or related field. - Resides in Somerville, Cambridge, or Medford.
