Position Overview

We're seeking a collaborative and results-oriented professional to join us as the Associate Marketing Manager / Marketing Manager for Institutional & B2B Library Marketing in Greater China. In this role, you'll deliver customer-centric marketing campaigns tailored to the institutional markets to generate demand and guide prospects through the B2B sales funnel to support our B2B licensing business in Greater China. You will also help conduct engaging events aimed at solidifying Springer Nature’s position as the market leader and enhancing engagement within the local library and research community.

Main responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute customer-centric marketing plans and initiatives targeting the institutional markets (academic, government, corporate and health) to support and drive Springer Nature’s B2B licensing business in Greater China.
  • Design multi-channel campaigns tailored to each stage of the B2B sales funnel to generate and nurture high-quality leads for new and upsell opportunities.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools and CRM / SCRM systems to segment key audiences and personalize messaging to improve campaign performance and increase lead conversion rates and ROI.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate campaign performance, making data-informed decisions for campaign and channel optimization.
  • Organize and facilitate online webinars and in-person customer summits to promote the value proposition of Springer Nature’s products, drive customer engagement, and foster collaboration between Springer Nature and the library community.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to identify integration opportunities between B2B and B2C (2B2C). Leverage Key Opinion Leaders’ (KOLs) impact in the scientific communities to boost our product credibility and influence B2B purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as regional and global marketing teams, sales, product, data & analytics teams, etc, to foster alignment and ensure the delivery of successful and impactful projects.
  • Stay informed about the publishing industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Multiple teams part of the Research Marketing organization
  • All teams in China Regional Marketing
  • Global and local business units in Institutional Sales GC Licensing Managers
  • Other functional teams
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the publishing industry.
  • Commercial awareness. Strong understanding of the B2B customer journey and experience in developing targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM / SCRM systems, and data analysis techniques.
  • A creative mindset and a willingness to experiment with new marketing tactics.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in written and spoken English.
