Registered Nurse (RN) / OR Educator / FT The RN Educator / Quality Analyst collaborates with the Surgical Services Management Team, Quality, and IS departments. The RN will help develop and implement education for the staff, physicians, and patients. As the educator, the RN will facilitate the orientation of new employees to the unit and assist with staff competency validation. The RN will assist the Quality department with reviewing the medical records and collecting data for compliance measures. The RN will also help orient and educate new physicians to Surgical Services. The RN will assist with the special projects and hospital initiatives as assigned by the Director, Surgical Services. Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. RN license in the State of Texas Minimum of 5 years in their area of expertise BLS CNOR or obtained within the first year Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Requires minimal supervision and is self-motivated Computer skills with Word and Excel Able to manage multiple priorities Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees. Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurses. Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
