Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Denveroffice of SmithGroupis looking for aSenior Mechanical Engineerto join our team.

Working with us you will :

• Serve as the engineering leader through all stages of a project of any size and play a larger role in the marketing of the studio and management of the discipline.
• Lead and perform analysis design and documentation of heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls.
• Assist in establishing project goals budgets and schedules track project performance and follow / enforce quality control procedures.
• Meet with clients project teams code officials contractors and others to address mechanical discipline issues and to develop effective working relationships.
• Present engineering design solutions to client representatives and / or design review committees.
• Serve as a mechanical systems specialist conduct research in problem areas of considerable scope / complexity and devise solutions.
• Contribute to SmithGroup sustainable design initiatives by using a variety of software to perform energy heating and cooling load and computational fluid dynamic calculations.
• Mentor junior and intermediate level staff and participate in performance coaching.
• Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
