The Position

Principal Platform Software Engineer

This role is not remote. It requires 3 days onsite in Indianapolis, IN.

The Opportunity

The Platform team within Roche Information Solutions (RIS) is responsible for foundational services and solutions that support our healthcare portfolio across a range of applications and disease areas.

Developing software is great, but developing software with a purpose is even better! As a Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will work on a product that helps people with the most precious thing they have - their health.

You will be a key contributor to the team, applying extensive knowledge of design principles and practices to the implementation of complex, enterprise-scale digital applications. Your responsibilities will include architecture, design, and implementation of foundational platform services and software solutions across a broad portfolio of therapeutic areas. In hands-on collaboration with teams of developers, designers, product owners, and QA experts, you'll experience best-in-class software development practices daily and contribute to software that meets the highest expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop clean, stable, testable, scalable and performant frontend and backend code, serving our healthcare applications.
• Build solid technical design, clean code, and future-proof architecture.
• Guide and share your knowledge with other developers.
• Process & Operations : Build, maintain, and extend development processes and tools to ensure ongoing improvements to team productivity and product scalability.
• Leadership : Provide technical leadership within and across scrum teams.

Preferred :

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN, is between $141,400 and $262,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
