Title : Senior Distribution Engineer Location : PA Pay Range : $50 - $70 / hour DOE, all hours worked Target Start Date / Availability : ASAP interview and start January Position Overview : In this role, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary project group where you’ll guide engineers and designers through a wide range of electric distribution design tasks. You’ll apply your engineering background to plan, check, and refine technical work across several areas, including : Creating and reviewing construction drawings and supporting details for overhead and underground distribution systems ranging from roughly 4 kV up to 34 kV Performing structural checks and load assessments Running short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations Preparing bills of material and developing cost estimates Producing traffic management layouts and drawings required for permitting Supporting teams involved in new upstream and midstream oil and gas facility design Participating in PHA sessions and various design review meetings Communicating directly with client contacts to resolve questions tied to distribution layouts and criteria Reviewing and designing priority feeds and supporting system maintenance or recapitalization efforts Planning system modifications and overseeing complex design activities Building work packages and assisting construction teams when field support is needed Visiting client offices, vendor locations, and plant sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification Growing professionally through internal peer groups and knowledge-sharing communities Note : This role does not include sponsorship for U.S. work authorization. Candidate Requirements : Required Background Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program Minimum of seven years working with electric utility distribution or closely related work that allows you to review and validate designs completed by others Solid understanding of physical distribution design principles and how to apply them Familiarity with codes, standards, and distribution design tools such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman Knowledge of NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, and GIS / GWD standards Experience delivering overhead and underground distribution projects from 120 / 208 V up through 34 kV PLS-CADD experience is strongly preferred Strong communication abilities and comfort leading a project team Preferred (Not Required) Professional Engineer license or the ability to achieve licensure within five years Background in utility distribution inspection and / or construction Exposure to various distribution design and analytical software tools Experience working with GIS platforms FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
