About The Position

Job Title : Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR

License : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Certifications : BLS

CST-NBSTA (Preferred)

Must-Have :

Must be proficient in Neuro, Trauma, ENT, Robotics Davinci XI, and Craniotomy experience is required.

Description :

Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with the above-mentioned case types.

Davinci XI and Craniotomy experience is required for trauma cases.

The unit comprises 12 operating rooms, 20 pre-op bays, and 14 PACU bays.

Patient types include surgical cases in Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General, Podiatry, and ENT.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1 in the OR and 1 : 2 in pre-op.

PACU Phase I has ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 based on acuity.

PACU Phase II has ratios of 1 : 2-3.

Support on the unit includes Surgery RNs, First Assist, Surgical Techs, Nurse Clinicians, and Service Line Leads.

Call needs are required and will be discussed during the interview.

Overnight call is needed once a week from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every third weekend being required from Friday at 3 PM to Monday at 7 AM.

There is a weekend rotation involved, and holiday expectations include working 2 out of 4 major holidays.

Approval of time off must be obtained from management.

Travelers must live over 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Candidates may float to Central Sterile Processing as needed.

Sleep rooms will be located in the Pre-Op / PACU area.

Couches are available in the break room, and there is a 15-minute response time expected.
