Job Description

The associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned :

• Maintains the deli service areas to meet customer demands, providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures the freshness and proper pricing of merchandise in display cases.
• Operates slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses, and prepares ready-to-eat foods.
• Adheres to company recipes and safety policies when preparing various food items.
• Manages cash register operations and follows proper money handling procedures.
• Maintains general sanitation in the department, ensuring compliance with health and OSHA requirements.
• Assists in inventory control and product handling practices.
• May assist with baling cardboard or other related duties if trained.
• May assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Cooperates with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department function.
• Utilizes all company provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
• May assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Education and / or Experience : Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.
