Job description

Summary

Our mid-sized, growing pharmaceutical client is seeking a seasoned project / program management professional who can manage delivery of the Connected Health portfolio of projects for the organization. Ensure everything runs smoothly, i.e., on-budget and on-time, and program goals are met while maintaining details for each project throughout their workday.

General Duties / Expectations of Role :

  • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected project swim lanes by developing and controlling a master program plan.
  • Track, monitor, and manage workstream dependencies, risks, action items, and decisions by coordinating with cross-project leads and teams.
  • Receive budgets from vendors and cross-functional teams and provide a consolidated view to the Connected Health Lead
  • Inform and recommend suitable risk mitigation strategies and objectives by collaborating with the program leadership team.
  • Present analysis to program leadership and deliver recommendations to drive informed and aligned decision-making.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management to proactively identify program needs and commitments.
  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI.
  • Support the development of materials for reporting and stakeholder management

Project Management :

  • Draft and refine business requirements, business rationale and the end goal.
  • Develop project timelines, keep cross-functional team appraised of the implications of decisions on timelines to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Deliver weekly / monthly status reporting for each project and report to project stakeholders.
  • Mitigate risks and provide alternative solutions and / or workarounds when needed.
  • Manage the communication and training requirements for project deployments.
  • Build and oversee the execution of comprehensive cutover plans during Go Lives
  • Manage post Go Live Hypercare and expedite resolution during production outages.
  • Program Operations :

  • Compare multiple solution options against the business requirements and prepare an analysis.
  • Assist the vendor Business Analysts (BAs) and Developers in understanding business requirements, delivery scope, and end deliverable expectations.
  • Assist the program lead and maintain project documents and ceremonial artifacts including meeting minutes, decision logs, and workshop materials.
  • Improve the change request process to increase the delivery capacity.
  • Provide project management training, leverage tools, and materials to BAs to assist with enterprise initiatives.
  • Setup and manage weekly, and monthly working meetings and / or workshops as needed.
  • Qualifications / Experience :

  • 7 to 10 years of proven experience managing IT / Software projects and enterprise programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations Management, etc.)
  • Experience with various distribution systems and technology platforms - Web, Mobile app, Datawarehouse, Analytics etc.
  • Experience with Agile product development principles and deployment methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of project / program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program / project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, MS Teams, Miro, JIRA / Trello etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • MBA preferred
  • PMP / SCRUM / Agile certifications preferred.
  • Experience building and launching mobile applications preferred.
  • Term & Start

  • 12+ month contract – option to extend.
  • Start 2-3 weeks from an offer.
