What this job involves :
This role involves overseeing and coordinating all aspects of building maintenance and engineering operations for assigned facilities. You'll provide technical guidance to maintenance teams while managing staffing schedules and work order priorities to ensure efficient execution of both routine and emergency maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities include conducting weekly quality assurance inspections, coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing purchasing and inventory procedures, and maintaining detailed communication with operations managers about project timelines and facility conditions. Additionally, you'll contribute to strategic planning by making recommendations for system improvements and capital projects, while supporting the preparation of operational reports and participating in ongoing training programs to stay current with technical and safety standards.
What your day-to-day will look like :
Provide guidance and technical support to the team
Maintain staffing schedules for responsible areas in connection with planning, scheduling and execution of engineering / maintenance work
Furnish mechanics with basic data required in effecting overall and long-range planning
Make recommendations for systems improvement and capital projects through immediate supervisor or management
Furnish the Operations Manager / Chief Engineer or Regional Operations Manager with information related to criticality of buildings
Maintain liaison with Operations Manager / Chief Engineer or Regional Operations Manager regarding work orders, job completion dates and priorities and estimates
Support preparation of monthly / quarterly operations reports
Plan schedule of work and vendors in accordance with established priorities
Coordinate purchasing and inventory control procedures
Distribute and oversee work orders assignments amongst the team
Perform weekly on-site Quality Assurance inspections of maintained facilities
Respond effectively to all emergencies
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
3 years of experience in repair and building maintenance
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
Working knowledge of computer-based applications and programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications :
Completion of an applicable technical training program
5+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of repair and building maintenance.

Work Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 7AM - 3PM; day shift start time subject to change
Salary / Comp : $30.00 - $35.00 / hour
