We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance efforts for a hospital construction project in Yuma, AZ. This role requires strong technical expertise in healthcare facility construction, with an emphasis on infection control, mechanical / electrical systems coordination, and compliance with AHCA, NFPA, and state health regulations.

The QC Manager will ensure that all work meets project specifications, healthcare construction standards, and the general contractor’s quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan (QCP) specific to healthcare construction requirements.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for conformance prior to construction activities.
- Conduct daily and milestone quality inspections to verify compliance with project plans, codes, and hospital standards.
- Manage documentation for materials testing, mockups, inspections, and system commissioning .
- Oversee third-party testing, inspections, and commissioning of complex systems (HVAC, medical gas, fire protection, electrical, life safety).
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the Owner’s Representative to prevent and resolve quality issues.
- Track and report all non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective action.
- Support infection control risk assessments (ICRA) and maintain compliance with healthcare-specific safety requirements.
- Participate in pre-installation meetings, punch walks, and project closeout documentation .
- Maintain comprehensive QC records in accordance with company and client standards.
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in construction quality control, with at least 3 years in healthcare or hospital projects .In-depth knowledge of AHCA, NFPA, ASHE, and local building codes .Experience with medical facility MEP systems , infection control measures, and sterile environment construction.Strong understanding of Procore, Bluebeam, or other project management platforms .Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.OSHA 30 certification required; ASHE Healthcare Construction (HCC) certification preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.
