WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Healthcare System in Smithtown, NY.

Job Function :

Day Shift.

7am to 3 : 30pm.

Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.

Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.

Prepare patients for surgery as requested.

Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.

Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.

Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.

Job Requirements :

1 year of experience.

Preferred : COA certified ophthalmic assistant 2 years or more experience.

Administering diagnostic imaging (OCT, Visual field, fundus photography).
