WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a Project Manager-Senior Architect with 10-15 years’ experience for the firm's Albany office. This senior-level position is perfect for an independent professional who will be responsible for the day-to-day organizational, technical and production aspects for projects of varying types, complexities, scopes and budgets. The Project Manager will be required to “shepherd” project development process from conceptual design through substantial completion and final close out. Previous public-sector experience is preferred. Candidates should be dedicated self-starters, able to work on teams with Senior level staff, other Project Managers / Senior Architects, project level architects and engineers, and technical designers. He or she should also be able to function alone when necessary and should also have a dedication to the profession with a willingness to guide and mentor newer professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Pro-actively contribute to projects from conceptual design through construction closeout
• Manage the production of construction documents and technical specifications for public bidding.
• Follow production schedules and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and handle more than one project at a time
• Collaborate positively with in-house design teams of other project architects and engineers, designers, technicians and outside consultants, as well as Construction Managers and client representatives.
• Meet quality control requirements, cost budgets, and time deadlines as necessary to ensure highest level of client satisfaction.
• Represent the firm at Client meetings.
• Contribute to growing our practice through new business development initiatives including but not limited to assistance with new client outreach, follow-up, and marketing.
