Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and specialty certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an ICU unit within an acute care hospital
  • Float pool position with possible floating to other like units or nearby affiliate hospitals
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19 : 00-07 : 30)
  • Every other weekend required, with potential for more frequent weekends based on unit needs
  • EMR system is Epic; experience preferred
  • No on-call required
  • All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
  • Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must be willing to work at least every other weekend and up to 3 of the 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Free parking available onsite
  • Required to complete pre-start and annual modules, averaging 16 hours
  • RTO must be declared at submission; excessive RTO can impact offer consideration

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active CA RN license in hand (no temp or pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Must provide two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility for travel consideration
  • Former permanent staff must have at least a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler
