Mechanical Engineer (Generators)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the energy industry, focusing on hydropower units. This role involves the analysis of mechanical components, utilizing in-house tools and developing calculations as necessary. You will be responsible for creating documentation for proposals, technical reports, and customer O&M manuals, as well as reviewing and approving mechanical drawings to meet contractual and internal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical components using in-house tools and develop calculations as necessary.
• Prepare documentation for proposals, technical reports, and customer O&M manuals.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings to ensure they meet contractual and internal requirements.
• Create engineering instructions that define technical requirements for manufacturing, installation, and testing.
• Generate engineering documentation with support from designers and drafters.

Work Environment

Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office, providing a long-term opportunity to work under professional engineers. The work environment includes continuous education courses for those interested in obtaining their PE. The role supports a team of 20 engineers within the local Charlotte group specializing in turbines / generators and power systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $62.00 / hr.
