American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures with a valid ARRT certification and state license required if applicable.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital radiology department specializing in CT imagingPerforms all types of diagnostic and interventional CT studies for patients across the age continuumUses CT scanners, PACS, HIS, RIS, teleradiography systems, and department scheduling softwareNight shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts, alternating weekly between Sunday-Thursday and Monday-Thursday plus Saturday, 11 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AMPatient care responsibilities include venipuncture, use of sterile technique, and coordination of exams among departments50-mile radius restriction applies for eligibilityResponsibilities include performing and evaluating all types of CT procedures, practicing radiation safety, and utilizing department computer systems for patient care documentationExpected to assist with departmental orientation and student clinical education when directedMust maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital proceduresParticipation in the department's quality improvement plan is requiredScrub attire or dress code follows hospital standardsLocal candidates not accepted for this travel assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Graduate from a school of radiologic technologyCurrent ARRT certification or eligibility for certification requiredCertification in CT required within 24 months of hireValid state medical radiographer license required if applicableCurrent BLS certification requiredKnowledge of CT positioning, technical factors, and radiation safety practicesExperience with both invasive and non-invasive CT proceduresAbility to operate and evaluate CT equipment, PACS, and related systemsStrong communication and prioritization skillsPhysical ability to perform safe patient handling and maintain proper body mechanics\n Benefits\n
