Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty : Critical Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 years required, with immediate open heart recovery experience preferred (3 years of recent experience) License : State License in Ohio Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS required. TNCC highly preferred. Must-Have : - 1 years of experience required - Immediate open heart recovery experience preferred (3 years of recent experience) - BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications (no certifications can be pending) - Must float to all units within skill level required Description : Functioning within the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. The RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
