Assistant Groundskeeper

Job Summary :

The Lansing Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, are seeking applicants for Assistant Groundskeeper. This position would work closely with the Head Groundskeeper in planning and performing maintenance required to provide a safe, playable, and aesthetically pleasing minor league baseball field.

This position is ideal for an applicant with turf management experience.

Duties :

• Maintain clay areas including infield, pitching mounds, home plate area, and bullpens
• Assist in field maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing, edging, aerating, sodding, etc.
• Set up and tear down batting practice
• Pre-game preparation
• Post game clean up
• Extra field events and duties as assigned
