Job Title : Nurse Aide

Location : Simpson General Hospital – Mendenhall, MS

Status : Full Time | Rotating Weekends | 12-hour shifts | 7 : 00pm - 7 : 00am

Reports To : RN Supervisor / Director of Nursing

Position Summary :

The Nurse Aide assists patients with daily living activities and provides support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role plays a vital part in delivering direct patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the dignity and comfort of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, ambulating, and feeding
• Support patient admissions / discharges, including belongings inventory and audits
• Monitor and report vital signs, intake / output, and patient conditions
• Provide one-on-one patient interaction and support therapeutic activities
• Assist with mealtime preparation, tray delivery / pickup, and feeding if needed
• Maintain clean and safe patient environments (make beds, empty bedpans, etc.)
• Turn, reposition, and provide toileting needs for bedbound patients
• Support patient transportation to tests, therapy, and physician visits
• Observe / report pressure areas or changes in physical / emotional status
• Maintain accurate documentation and attend required training sessions
• Comply with infection control procedures and use PPE as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned
