Warehouse Delivery Receiver

General Function and ScopeThe School Nutrition Warehouse Delivery Receiver performs various job functions essential to the successful operation of the School Nutrition Department. These functions include receiving large shipments of commercial and commodity food at North Quincy High Broad Meadows Middle School warehouse and occasionally Quincy High School. The School Nutrition Warehouse Delivery Receiver works under the supervision of the School Nutrition Director and Assistant Director and in partnership with others in the school nutrition program and school district to support a sound nutrition assistance food program while following federal state and local guidelines. Contracted Hours : Monday-Friday 7 AM 1 PMAbility to work flexible hours as needed. Essential Functional Areas of ResponsibilitiesReceive and organize delivery orders for NQHS North packing room warehouse at BMMS and occasional deliveries at with the Satellite Supervisor / District Chef to help organize food needs for the day or week (move boxes in and out of the freezers and fridges as needed).Clean and rearrange walk-in freezers and fridges to accommodate large deliveries and / or need to move food and / or paper supplies from one school to another using a school provided other duties the School Nutrition Director and Assistant Director deliveries with the help of the School Nutrition monthly support and assistance to the packing room staff. Sanitation Safety and SecurityMaintain an environment conducive to protecting the health and well-being of the schools children through high levels of food safety and sanitation a safe facility for the performance of work. Program Regulations and AccountabilityMaintains integrity and accountability of the School Nutrition Program (SNP) through compliance with all federal state and local compliance with school / district policies and procedures. Equipment Use and CareImplements administrative policies for proper use and care of all equipment. Physical Aspect : Must be able to properly and safely receive and organize delivery be able to maintain a clean organized space in the kitchen office storage freezer and refrigerator. Must be able to practice the First In First Out method. All boxes must be dated upon delivery whether from our warehouse or our lift 40 lbs. boxes regularly and repeatedly throughout the day while practicing safety procedures.
