About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Pediatric Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 and 12-hour shifts

Hours per Shift : Preferably 10 : 30 AM - 7 : 00 PM on 8-hour days

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Required

Certifications : BLS Required

Must-Have : Scrubbing experience is preferred but not required

Description :

Unit includes 6 operating rooms and 1 procedural room.

15-28 cases are performed daily.

Common cases include tonsillectomy, hypospadias repair, rectus muscle surgery, craniotomy, cardiac procedures, and orthopedic surgeries.

Charge Registered Nurse will assume responsibility during midnight shifts.

Rotating and all shifts are required.

One call shift is required per week, with 1-2 weekend calls.

Rotating holiday coverage is necessary.

Mandatory standby requirement with a 30-minute response time.

Floating to other specified units may be required.

Scrubs will be provided.

Effective completion of a 2-day orientation and checklist is necessary.

Charting is performed using EPIC.

BSN is not required for submission.
