The Field Service Technician is enthusiastic about EVs and a self-starter who will work closely with customers to ensure that Highlands electric vehicles and charging stations are working properly and that buses can get students to where they need to be. No day will look the same but responsibilities will include performing original equipment manufacturer-approved testing repairs and troubleshooting customer issues.

Highland will provide the relevant training to repair all local equipment including basic electric vehicle functions Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers and communications equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Act as the companys on-site advocate for EVs and EVSBs striving to achieve 90% overall uptime
• Represent the company at customer locations with the highest standards of professional conduct
• Retains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to management
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs electric vehicle and charger repairs (e.g. adjust / test steering electrical cooling lubricating braking systems drive trains suspensions power steering units etc.) and related assigned duties within qualification level in accordance with all relevant Federal State / Provincial and local guidelines and requirements. Test-drives vehicles to ensure repair resolved
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation for troubleshooting and repairs records time and materials used for each assignment in asset management platform
• Assist in managing of external support vendors to follow up and document repairs being made to Highlands assets
• Provides repair and maintenance assistance to junior technician staff
• Performs road calls and on the road repairs as assigned.
• Undergo electric vehicle and charger OEM and internal trainings

$75000 - $95000 a year
