About The Position

Experience : 2 years of OR Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

• Surgical experience in a tertiary care center
• Experience in Ortho-Trauma, Neuro, General, and Robotics
• Pre-Op / PACU experience with some ICU level care in PACU

Description :

We are seeking a registered nurse with expertise in surgical services.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in an OR setting.

The registered nurse will be responsible for providing care during surgeries and in the pre-operative and post-anesthesia care units.

Patient types include surgical cases in various specialties.

The patient ratio in the OR is 1 : 1.

In the Pre-Op bay, the ratio is 1 : 2.

In PACU Phase I, the ratio can be 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, based on acuity.

In PACU Phase II, the ratio is 1 : 2-3.

The position may require floating to other areas as needed.

Weekend rotation and call are expected, with one overnight call per week.

Holiday expectations include 2 out of 4 major holidays.
