As a Team Lead BIRT Report Writing at FreeBalance, you will play a dual role of hands-on report development and team leadership. You will oversee the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality business intelligence and reporting solutions using the BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) framework. Leading a team of four report developers, you will be responsible for managing workloads, ensuring timely delivery of all reporting projects, maintaining quality standards, and providing regular updates to the VP of Research & Development.

Main Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of four BIRT report developers, ensuring effective task allocation, progress tracking, and timely delivery.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using the BIRT framework.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for report design, development, testing, documentation, and version control.
• Review and validate all team deliverables to ensure accuracy, performance, and adherence to business requirements.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions across databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Work closely with the VP to provide status reports, manage priorities, and align reporting objectives with organizational goals.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvement within the reporting function.
• Mentor and train team members to build technical proficiency and analytical capability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, data discrepancies, and report-related problems.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure smooth deployment of reports in production environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
