• New Grad RN- RN Residency

• Location : Comprehensive Cancer Center, Winston Salem Campus
• Shift Schedule : Full time, Days, 7am - 7pm , 3rd weekend rotation
• Residency Program : New Graduate RNs at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist receive supportive training led by dedicated nurse educators, including clinical orientation, specialty-specific learning, and skill-building in clinical decision-making, teamwork, communication, and career development.
• Oncology : This unit specializes in leukemia and symptom management. With 40 beds, the unit supports long patient stays, fostering strong relationships with patients and families. It features a well-developed onboarding process for new staff.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Patient / Family Centered Care : Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of WFBH.

Patient Discharge & Referrals : Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.

Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment : Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior. Embrace technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.

Effective Communication : Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among the healthcare team, facilitating information sharing throughout the continuum of care. Active participation in our professional practice model and shared governance initiatives will promote teamwork, leadership, and clinical excellence.
